It's known that the winners of America's Next Top Model don't actually become America's next top model. Hell, we can't remember any of the winners doing any legit high-fashion work after their win. (Minus some minimal runway work last season.) So we were surprised when, flipping through this month's Russian Vogue, we noticed Cycle 6 reject Mollie Gondi. It's a real fashion photo shot by a real fashion photographer (Jem Mitchell). Kudos, Mollie! But she's not the only one getting work. Katarzyna Dolinska from Cycle 10 (you'll remember her as the girl who got critiqued for being "too flat" in her photos) is in April’s Australian Vogue. Of course, we have no idea what the actual winners are doing, but we guess they’re busy with their demanding "$100,000 CoverGirl contract." Yes, that must be it.

NIKKI Blonsky of "Hairspray" fame and her mom and dad need a new lawyer. They're being sued in Suffolk Supreme Court by attorney Michael J. Griffith for legal fees in connection with their August 2008 brawl at the Turks and Caicos airport with the family of "America's Next Top Model" contestant Bianca Golden. The fight, which left Golden's mom, Elaine, with a broken nose and cracked skull, allegedly started with racial comments. One witness claimed someone in the Blonsky entourage, angry they had to move their luggage so one of the Goldens could sit, used the N-word. But another claimed one of Golden's group started it with, "I don't want to sit next to any white bitch." Griffith told pals at SoHo's Salt restaurant that Nikki hired him after her dad, Carl Blonsky, was jailed on the island for two weeks. He said he got him out of jail on $3,000 bail, but Nikki fired him the next day without paying him. Blonsky's rep didn't get back to us.

Tyra Banks: Melee Has Supermodel Talk Show Host Concerned

So much for behaving like model citizens. On Saturday, auditions for season 13 of "America's Next Top Model" were held at New York's Park Central Hotel. While hundreds of runway-hopefuls waited anxiously for their chance to strike a pose, a commotion erupted resulted in a melee with three people arrested and sixth others injured--two of which were taken to the hospital, according to BBC News. Police immediately shut down the audition due to disorderly conduct . Tyra Banks and her producer Ken Mok expressed their grave concern about the incident and potential danger.

"We are concerned by the events. We still don't know all the details of what triggered the incident. We appreciate the efforts of the NYPD and will assist them in any way possible in this matter."

For the first-time ‘Top Model' will feature women 5-foot-7 and under in an attempt to introduce a new standard of beauty in an industry that idolizes women 5'9 and taller.-QS

They're casting for a new show, Model Makers, for which they'll make contestants compete against each other for a career in modeling (plus $100,000) in a weekly eliminations-based show that sounds almost exactly like ANTM.

Hairspray vs. ANTM: Breaking Down the Caribbean Madness

So, what really happened in the airport????

According to reports, it looks like both parties are probably to blame for the infamous throw down that raged between the families of Hairspray's Nikki Blonsky and America's Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden in a Turks and Caicos airport last Wednesday.

The limited seating at the airport's departure lounge was the thing that supposedly "sparked it all off."

The Blonskys allegedly had snapped up several seats in the tiny airport lounge just for their luggage.

WTF? Luggage is meant to be thrown around and on the ground.

The Hairspray family was reportedly asked by a member of the Golden family to place some of their luggage on the ground so someone in their party carrying a child could sit.

This is where it all goes nuts and things get a little cloudy.

The Goldens say that the Blonskys were peeved that their luggage had to be placed on the floor and started spouting racial hatred, referring to blacks as animals and throwing around the N-word.

But, another source claims the racial slurs only began to fly when a member of the Next Top Model group proclaimed, "I don't want to sit next to any white bitch."

Nikki Hairspray and Bianca the model exchanged words but not blows, though Nikki allegedly tried to rip Golden's earring off.

Meow!

Bianca's mom, Elaine, then supposedly jumped into the mix to "defuse the situation" and to get her daughter "away from those people".

Nikki's dad, Carl, got into it too. He supposedly began punching Bianca's mom in the head!

Whatever happened to the old saying that you DON'T HIT A WOMAN????

Elaine Golden is currently in an intensive care unit with a broken nose and cracked skull.

Meanwhile, Blonsky's father is being held in a jail cell on the Turks and Caicos. The family is reportedly unable to post $75,000 bail.

Poppa Blonsky faces a potential eight-year prison term and is being held at least until Friday on a charge of "grievous bodily harm."

Though they didn't exchange blows, Nikki and Bianca were each charged with "actual bodily harm," which carries a possible sentence of two years.

Hope the airport will look into more seating in their departure lounge.

We also find it ironic that the Hairspray star was involved in a race related brawl. Sheesh…Hairspray was all about racial harmony!

Do you guys remember Nikki Blonsky? She's the chubby girl that got to be in Hairspray with hottie Zac Efron. Well it turns out the girl can fight! Nikki, only 19, and her father were arrested this week after getting into a fight with a woman, some no-name loser from America's Next Top Model (Bianca Golden). All three were at the Providenciales International Airport in Turks and Caicos at the time of the incident. Nikki was charged with actual bodily harm, while her dad was charged with grievous bodily harm. A staff member at the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force confirmed the news of their arrests. As for the other woman, she was hurt so badly she had to be flown off the island and to Miami. As for Nikki, she had to go to court today, Friday, in a neck brace, and is due back in court later this month. Of course, her rep had no comment. This is probably the best thing that ever happened to her career, after getting Hairspray!

August 2, 2008 -- MAJOR Model Management has a special way of keeping their girls stick thin. A source tells Page Six that agents have told some already too-thin models there that they need to lose even more weight, which isn't unusual. It's the diet that has the models upset. "One was told she had to lose 15 pounds," said our source. "She got strict instructions. She was told to only have a little bit of orange juice and a big coffee in the morning, which would make her go to the bathroom. Then she was told to keep sucking down coffee all day until at least 3 p.m., when she could eat lettuce with a tiny bit of tuna with a drop of mayo. Dinner is a tiny square of broiled fish about 2 inches long and a glass of wine." Our source adds that the girls are also discouraged from hitting the gym because the stylists don't want the models to have any muscle tone. A rep for Major did not return a call and e-mail for comment.

Fashionistas: The Movie

Ever since Lauren Weisberger wrote The Devil Wears Prada, there's been an influx of fashion-related books/movies/tv shows liquifying our taste buds.

So forgive us for having totally missed that a book called Fashionistas came out three years ago, about a "young designer working at a design firm who plots to take down her ruthless boss by inventing a fictitious must-have designer."

So why are we thinking about this today? Because Paramount Pictures is turning the novelette into a movie, and it looks like they're keeping the original name, Fashionistas.

This is right on the heels of the realization that there will now be three tv shows all about fashion this upcoming Fall season (Stylista, The Stylist - in which Erin Wasson may be starring - The Rachel Zoe Project, and way more if you continue to count the likes of Project Runway, ANTM and The Hills).

No word on who's set to star (our bet goes to Rachel Bilson), but they at least have the director signed up - Donald Petrie. His previous works include Mystic Pizza, Miss Congeniality, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Just My Luck.

But the threat of getting stung did not put a damper on Chace Crawford's 23rd-birthday bash — which was attended by Blake Lively, Penn Badgely, Lydia Hearst, and, apparently, Emily Brill —or all these other fancy parties....
