rebecca romijn and jerry o'connell are expecting twins!!! yay, that's so exciting! they're such a beautiful couple! congrats to them!!!

sooo, more on the shia labeouf dui...he had to have surgery on his hand as a result of his collision, and now he will be out of filming for transformers 2 for over a month...that sucks.

so now people are saying that madonna actually ghostwrote that tell-all memoir that her brother is out promoting, but perez doesn't believe...i don't really care...i hate madonna.

jessica simpson has released the cover of her upcoming country album...what do y'all think? i think she looks cute...

harold and kumar 3 is in the works!!!!!! how awesome is that???? i know those movies are stupid but i absolutely looooove them! they make me laugh.

the dark knight was the #1 movie once again this weekend. not surprising. i saw it again last night. that movie seriously never gets old.

blake and penn's romance is causing tension on the set of gossip girl!!! from page six:
July 28, 2008 -- REAL-life lovers Penn Badgley and Blake Lively are heating up the set of "Gossip Girl." "It's gotten crazy, they are all over each other after every single take," said one spywitness. "They're constantly making out, and it's making everyone uncomfortable." Our spy tells us that Badgley also has a new love interest on the show, who seemed to make Lively a little "nervous." "He's in scenes with this new cute brunette, and Blake is all over him after wards. And no one on set is talking to the new girl be cause they don't want to upset Blake."

omg, wes craven is in talks to come back and direct scream 4!!! how awesome would that be?!?!?!?! i looooove the scream movies, and it would be so cool if they made another one!!!!

spotted:

britney spears, tanning in cabo...looking somewhat normal! okay, she still looks trashy, but body actually looks pretty good in the bikini! is brit on her way to an actual comeback???

lindsay and sam shopping nyc...i LOVE lindsay's pink bag! where can i get that????

madonna and daughter lourdes leaving the kabbalah center...are those american apparel leggings lil lourdes is wearing? cuz i think i have those....

ashley tisdale leaving the gym over the weekend...is she wearing an east high wildcats (team from the fictional school in the hsm movies) sweatshirt???? because i think she totally is. lame.

actress emma stone (from superbad) looked absolutely adorable at trl last week, promoting her new movie, the rocker.

lee pace was at comic-con over the weekend promoting season 2 of pushing daisies...he's so yummy!!!

blake lively and america ferrara at a photo shoot promoting sisterhood of the travelling pants 2.

heidi montag, looking like horse or something, at kitson in la.

james franco at the maxim pool party...he's so hot.

that's it for noooooooooow!

a few things.

hayden panettiere has a new song called "wake up call." it's terrible. it's like worse than "stars are blind." here is the song, as it debuted on ryan seacrest's show...listen to how unenthusiastic she sounds to hear her own song!

lc's clothing line has been dropped from popular la clothing store kitson. from perez:
This beef has gone rotten! Poor Lauren Conrad. She's becoming yesterday's news sooooo quickly. In a big blow to The Hills star, L.C.'s clothing line has just been dropped from all the Los Angeles Kitson boutiques. Kitson owner Fraser Ross says, "Sales were lackluster. Initially it was great." Though they tried to get L.C. to do some press and in store appearances, it seems Ms. Diva's people couldn't figure out a date. It must be tough having MTV filming you at all times! Ross adds, "They need to realize it’s no different than selling your album, your TV shows, your movies. You have to keep promoting it." Well, aside from promoting, no one wants to spend over $100 on something they can get that looks the same at Target or American Apparel for $15. Oh, and if this sounds all too familiar, Kitson also confirmed it's dropped Victoria Beckham's dVb menswear line because of poor demand. Yea, and she didn't promote it either.

that's really it for now.

oh yeah, the secret life of the american teenager was really good tonight. i officially LOVE that show even if it is incredibly corny and unrealistic.

lataaa!

i love that movie. i was watching it the other night and i was just thinking how simply beautiful and classic it is. it's timeless really. that story of jim and judy. confused teens, caught in that awkward space between childhood and adulthood....ah, classic. my favorite scene is by far the one where they're lying on the floor of the old mansion and judy rests her chin on jim's face and jim says "hi" and she says "hi" and then she talks about how she loves somebody and how she was always looking for someone to love her but now she's finally found somebody that she loves and it's so easy and then they kiss passionately. aaaah, i just love that movie. i love retroness and all that, and of course the fact that james dean was incredibly gorgeous, but even if i didn't i think i'd still like rebel without a cause. it's just great. everything, james dean, natalie wood, the music, and especially the clothes. so here i've compiled a wardrobe and playlist inspired by that seen in one of my favorite movies of all time.

so great news...you can now order from nordstrom online and pick it up in the store!!! yay, no shipping fees! i mean, i have them order in things all the time, but this is really convenient because then i can just order it from my computer. very easy.

here are some really cute looks that i missed from the other night at the mtv movie awards that ellegirl had up....you have to forgive me, i can only find the pictures that others put up, considering that i live in cleveland, so i'm at a disadvantage to ellegirl and all others that can be right there at the scene...anyway:
girl from disturbia.

girl from superbad.

and here, paris looked really adorable when out to dinner last night (i'm so jealous of that cute little dress!!!)

cutest couple in the entire world spotted out on the town:

i seriously better not see anyone wearing this american apparel dress, unless they are stick, stick thin....no, i'm just kidding, if i see anyone in it, i wouldn't say anything about their size i would just be like omg, they're wearing a shiny plasticy dress, i'm just saying, this dress would really not be flattering on anyone with even the slightest hint of curves.....but i'm not even sure it would look good on a skinny mini! i mean, it doesn't even look good on the model, so i take it back, i better see no one in this, no matter how skinny they are!!! it's not even cute anyway!

we're still wondering...is caridee english dating tyson beckford?? i hope she is! they'd make really hot babies!

josie is reporting that the new jesse mccartney cd is totaaaaaaally good. i'll have to check it out because josie usually has pretty good taste and she even admitted that corbin bleu's cd was pretty lame, so maybe jesse mccartney really is "reborn" as an artist as josie claims! but he should stop dating that skanky aubrey o'day. i mean, she's totally gorgeous, but puhhhhhleeazze, so skank.

i miss him with katie cassidy. i think she's one of the most gorgeous girls ever and i actually think she's a talented actress as well...and she has a much better fashion sense than ms. o'day and doesn't hang out with skanky friends like ms. o'day does with pornstar jenna jameson...ew.

that's all for now!

i wish i was them.

from ellegirl:

Confessions of a Real-Life Gossip Girl

What it's like for real-life Blairs and Serenas

“Gossip Girl is nothing like my life,” promises ELLEgirl’s anonymous source, who last spring graduated from one of the Upper East Side private schools on which the series is based. “I guess I live in the same kind of environment as they do, but they exaggerate everything to the point of no return.” Like…? “People don’t want to seem pretentious, so they downplay their wealth. On Gossip Girl, it’s cool to flaunt your money.”

Another big diff, according to our uptown informant, are the crew’s extracurricular activities. “At night, my group of friends usually goes out for a 9pm dinner at a nice restaurant – everyone likes trying new places – and then go to someone’s house whose parents are away or don’t mind them having people over.” Parental control, it turns out, may be the biggest thing the show misses. “There were six or seven girls in my graduating class who went out to bars and clubs – but if you had a curfew, by the time you got downtown you had to turn around!”

Our spy also insists no one’s parents were dating, and very few were over-the-top indulgent. “A couple of my classmates had moms who would buy them $700 shoes, but most of our parents think it’s inappropriate for an 18-year-old to walk around in stuff that expensive – and I agree.” So no mothers who get plastic surgery and disappear to Paris like Eleanor Waldorf? “Our parents aren’t as ridiculous. The kids on the show have a lot more freedom than we did,” she sighs. “In real life, it’s not that intense or full of drama – and there’s never so much fun stuff going on!”

Transportation

While not everyone has a driver like Chuck, Manhattan private school students don’t ride big yellow buses either. Our source says if people can’t walk to school, they take the cabs or city buses.

Must-see TV

We hear all the uptown kids are Grey’s Anatomy freaks.

A league of their own

While few go so far to name their younger siblings “Yale” like Blair did in the GG books, the majority of New York prep school kids do end up at an Ivy League college. “Most people went to schools on the east coast, like Yale, Penn, Harvard, Duke, and Georgetown,” says our spy.

Summer spots

“A lot of people have random jobs during the week in the summer, like at a parent’s advertising agency or law firm, or they work at a cool store and enjoy their discount. On the weekends, my friends go to the Hamptons, Locust Valley, or Maine. And often people will go to Europe for two or three weeks in June.”

Cold chillin’

“In the winter, people stay in the city – the deb [editor’s note: as in debutante. Yup. Can’t wait for that episode of GG!!!] balls and new year’s in the city all happen over holiday break. If not, they go skiing, usually in Colorado.”

Ultimate pastime

Favorite New York City stores include Barney’s, Scoop NYC, Bergdorf Goodman, and Intermix.
Read on to find out what they buy!

Chanel, $3,850, Chanel Boutiques Nationwide

“People don’t really wear status bags to school – just for a night out.”

Abercrombie, $80, Abercrombie.com

“Skinny jeans are still everywhere.”

Diane von Furstenberg, $325, netaporter.com

“DVF is huge!”

Essie Nail Polish in Berry Hard, China Doll and Chocolate Kisses, $6 each, folica.com

“Dark, Essie nail polishes like Wicked are really popular. A lot of people are also wearing navy polish now.”

Jack Rogers, $98, calypso.com

“In the summer, Jack Rogers are ubiquitous!”

J. Crew, top $48, bottoms $38, jcrew.com

“My friends love bathing suits from J. Crew and American Apparel.”

L.L. Bean, $39, llbean.com

“It’s common to monogram your L.L. Bean backpacks with letters that stand for something other than your initials, like a private joke with your friends.”

Marc by Marc Jacobs, $478, netaporter.com

“Every girl has a million dresses – they’ve totally replaced jeans and skirts.”

Urban Outfitters, $28, urbanoutfitters.com

“These scarves are all over New York City, and my school.”

J. Crew, $118, jcrew.com

For more quilted clothes, check out Puff Piece

Hunter Wellington Boots, $98, shopbop.com

“Wellie boots are a staple.”

Tory Burch, $225, bloomingdales.com

“High heels are only for going out. These flats are great for school.”

Urban Outfitters, $18 each, urbanoutfitters.com

“Lately, my friends have been into inexpensive, bright plastic sunglasses. But we all have a million pairs!”

White Mountain Fae, $59, piperlime.com

“From equestrian to slouchy styles, flat brown boots are all over.”

Helen Ficarola, price available on request, helenficarola.com

“Every uptown girl wears her initials around her neck.” Since you guys dare to be different, maybe you should wear ours!

time to play a little catch up.

  • Apr. 28th, 2008 at 11:14 AM

okay, i know it's been horrendously long since i last posted, and obviously i have a lot to post about since it's been, gasp, THREE DAYS!!!!!!!! so we'll break this down into sections....first of all...

CAVS: how amazing was that game yesterday?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! that was aaaaaaaaaaaawesome! i'm so happy we won! kevin and i went to champs to watch the game and it was really fun because there were lots of other people watching the game there and it was really really exciting. delonte's last shot, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amazinggggggggg!!!!!!!! it was really cool, and then the best part was for sure wally's reaction, lol, he was like squeezing the life out of delonte!!!! so yay cavs! i'll be at the game on wednesday, back home, woohoo!

SASHA: there have been no sasha pavlovic sightings that i know of this weekend. as usual, if you have seen him anywhere, please tell me, cuz you know i like to consider myself the perez hilton of cleveland cavaliers basketball....ahahaha, i'm lame...but anyway, i didn't see him at the game, and you know i was looking intently.

PROM: seems like most of my friends had a great time at prom and the whole thing went down without a glitch, but some of my friends got a little naughty in the limo (you know who you are ;) !!!!!), and i hope that none of them are ever public figures because the whole thing was caught on tape! i'm jk, it's not that scandalous in the scheme of things, just compared to the usual behavior of my friends it's shocking, lol.

WEEKEND: this weekend was fun, obviously, victoria, courtney and i went to columbus. it was kind of annoying because they wouldn't give us the hotel room because we're not 21, so my mother's friend dena had to come and check us in. at first we thought our plans were foiled but they ended up being fine. we hung around osu for a while, had lunch at a terrible restaurant (mad mex on high street, NEVER EAT THERE, it's horrible!!!!), went shopping (american apparel <3<3<3), then went to easton for more shopping and saw harold and kumar, which was HILAAAAAAAAAAAAARIOUS! love that nph!!!!! it's really raunchy, so if you're like really prude don't see it!!!!!!!!! then we went shopping more, had dinner at this really fun place that was kind of like dave and buster's and we played in the arcade forever and totally humiliated ourselves in ddr, and then we saw forgetting sarah marshall again and it was a lot better seeing it with my friends!!!! we spent the night at the hotel then drove back sunday morning. as i mentioned before (see CAVS section, lol) i had a late lunch with kevin at champs while we watched the cavs game. after that we hung out for a while, went to borders, ran some errands, etc. then i went to bravo! with my friends for a going away dinner for rachel because she's going to canada for senior project tomorrow. it was super fun, then we hung around eton for a while because it was a pretty nice night....actually we had a mini dance party in the parking lot to see you again....and then we decided to go to blockbuster to see if 27 dresses was out yet (it wasn't) which proved to be disastrous because i got in a fender bender when i was trying to back out. yeah, i know, i suck. that's it.

TV: i finally, finally, finally got to watch last week's gossip girl, so i'm all caught up for tonight. THAT WAS THE MOST INTENSE EPISODE EVERRRRRR!!!!! yesssss! apparently there's no more new episodes of new amsterdam? boo. i still haven't watched grey's but i'm pretty much caught up on all of my shows.

HOT GUYS: by watching harold and kumar, i've found a new guy for the actors list. eric winter. he played the asshole dude in the movie, but nonetheless, he's really attractive. he dates roselyn sanchez, who is incredibly gorgeous.

oh, and i still am like....obsessed with that random kid.

GOSSIP: apparently miley cyrus has more slutty pictures out, this time for vanity fair, surprise surprise. miley girl, just stop, just stop. perez had this to say about it:

umm, what else? lori loughlin has been cast in the new 90210, i'm sorry but i can't wait for that, i just have a feeling it's gonna be awwwwwesome!!!!! hilary duff might be in it as well! perez also reports that one of the veronicas is getting married to a really really hot guy, who is, gasp!, a virgin!!!! even hotter!

that's pretty much it on the gossip front except for that craaaaaazy incest story from austria.....ah, so creepy!!!!!!!!!!!!

k that's it....peace out!

rather brilliant, in my opinion.

American Apparel to Open Thrift Stores
Feb 28, 2008 @ 11:13am

We hear from someone close to Dov Charney that American Apparel is planning to open a chain of thrift stores.

The stores might start out as adding vintage pieces into existing American Apparel stores, and then branch out into full-scale boutiques of their own.

The concept is rather brilliant especially since Urban Outfitters' vintage line, Urban Renewal, does awfully well - also, the wannabe Strokes who raid American Apparel on a daily basis are also avid thrift shoppers.

Of course, what we're most interested in is a new ad campaign:

Will the American Apparel heads dress up their girls in vintage lingerie and see-through blouses?

Well, we always knew that much like "Halloween," "vintage" was code for "hypersex" in some people's style vocabulary.
